Their sending church, Palmetto Baptist, is located near Ft. Jackson in Columbia, SC. It was here that they were trained, called and commissioned to be a part of God�s worldwide mission program. Their mission board is Baptist International Missions Inc in Chattanooga, TN. Pastor Dave Mros served 21 years in the US Army and retired as a Captain while Kathy is a registered nurse and worked for years teaching in a Christian school and served as the church secretary. Much of what they do now they learned from Godly men and women before them.
In the 1980�s they were members of Cornerstone Baptist in Aschaffenburg, Germany, a military church pastored then by Dr. Jeff Alverson. Both Dave and Kathy are also very happy that their children are saved and serving the Lord. Their son, Casey, will be starting his third year at Bob Jones University and seeking God�s will in his life. They have two grown daughters � Erin, married to a Youth Pastor in Asheboro, NC and Julie, who has two children of her own, married to a Missionary Pastor in Long Island, NY.
God has saved many souls, reclaimed others that have wandered, restored broken families, and even called several individuals to full-time Christian service since the church was started. The church exists for the purpose of glorifying God and seeing souls saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. The church believes in missions and already supports 30 missionaries around the world. Lighthouse wants to be a light for Jesus not just in their community but in regions elsewhere and wants others to know�The Mission of the Church is Missions.
